Beyond the Lyrics was first established, in August 2010, as a blog for sole research purposes, however it has evolved into a movement. Beyond the Lyrics aims to create a platform within media that analyzes the impact the culture of Hip Hop has made through various realms of life. The website celebrates emerging artists, established artists, companies, organizations, foundations and research that fully embody the different elements of Hip Hop (graffiti art, fashion, DJ-ing/MC-ing, politics, breakdancin', etc.).
Beyond the Lyrics' mission is to remind many music consumers that Hip Hop is very well still alive and to always provide the political and social consciousness of the great culture. A provision that will reach, teach and educate!
